Construction of the new Community Safety Center northwest of the intersection of Tenth and Spruce Streets was completed by March of 2005. The Beresford Volunteer Fire Department and Beresford Ambulance Services, Inc. were relocated to this structure; and, the old Fire Hall was then used to house the offices and some of the equipment of the city street, water, and sewer departments after a City Council decision was made on March 7, 2005. An open house at the Community Safety Center was held on April 23, 2005.
